Duality

I think a lot of our confusion and dilemma arises from the duality of our being. We somehow fail to accept that we can be different people at the same time. We can stand for what's right or we can do what we really want to. The people who are spared of such conundrums are the ones who can rationalize their actions to themselves. The duality of the being is inherent in this as well- the part that rationalizes and the part that has to be convinced.

Also,

Is it possible that the absence of pain can act as a pseudo impulse to the brain, a recommendation that you're happy?
In other words, can you fool your brain into happiness by avoiding pain all together?

Beats me.

Of all the potential romances, you've got to wonder if they're worth the pain at the end?
How do you go on trying to destroy the pain and prevent yourself from enjoying it at the same time?
Beats me.

We judge people too easily. The truth really is that our judgments are the reflections of who we truly are.
Our view of the world is essentially the embodiment of our soul. And the first place to begin purging a battered soul is to feel forgiveness and love for everything there is.

maybe, just maybe we aren't meant to distinguish illusions from reality. maybe they're one and the same thing. its only our mind that makes this distinction. think of the universe as full of everything, from which we pick and choose what to put in our conscience, and to us, everything we incorporate in our consciences becomes our reality...

The importance of being numb is rarely professed.
It is so much easier to not feel at all.
These feelings, they weigh us down.
They cloud our judgment, make us walk down paths we never should have taken.
This 'gift' of emotion, feeling; ultimately turns out to be a burden.
A burden against which we so frequently collapse.

just one truth to let go off,
a matter of creating another illusion.
a million more truths to hold on to
a million more illusions to float into
times to fly
times to get by
we all go around
chasing a high
running aimlessly
till the time we die.
don't worry,
we will soon wake up from this dream.
so goodbye friend;
till again our illusions twine.

Longings increase as they near their climax.
To an extent that they preoccupy the mind and engage the senses.
