fill the void
have you ever felt absolute peace?? yes absolute peace.. when cerebral noises are blanked out by complete silence and the mind is free of thoughts...
well i experienced tht today........
....... for a second!
the peace was quickly replaced by a familiar tune and a familiar voice belting out some quixotic lyrics.... and i figured.... my head was going pop....
after 3 years of gut wrenching, ear-splitting and brain smashing rock, i had finally gotten sick of it.. and so my head was going pop..
ok so it's not as bad as listenin to britney (trust me.. Dido is no bubble-gum, garment removing ,teen wannabe!) but it's still weird listenin to music tht doesn't have any sense of commotion to it.... just a steady beat with some wholesome rhythm and some simple, predictable but appealing lyrics...
(a far departure from the early days, comprising primarily of some gloomy strains of evanescence)
the haunting ballads of Pink-floyd, the soulful thoughts of The Doors, the catchy tunes of Coldplay, the romance of Sade, and the unearthly voice of Dido.. all soothe my discordant mind. But again, it's just a phase....
Holy cow man.... ma head's a poppin'................where's my System CD????????????????????
Music is what feelings sound like.

Siesta Rumination
So.. finally got the time(or the courage) to write(phew!)
trust me it takes some courage to abandon an hour of blissful sleep to get up and write, especially after you haven't slept in days before..
but then i have a choice.. and i choose to write!!!
and besides.. this was long overdue...
so after hours of delirious stupor, weeks of dilly-dallying and years of self-induced silence.... the moment of expression arrives..
As a famous poet in a drug-induced dream exclaimed....
Awake.
Shake dreams from your hair,My pretty child, my sweet one.
Choose the day and the sign of your day,the day's divinity, first thing you see.
(couldn't resist quoting Morrisson on this one!!)

Moment of Freedom
the beginning... this glorious moment of freedom
Moment of inner freedom
when the mind is opened
and the infinite universe revealed
& the soul is left to wander
dazed & confus'd searching
here & there for teachers & friends.
Moment of Freedom
as the prisoner blinks in the sun
like a mole from his hole
a child's 1st trip away from home
That moment of Freedom
this ladies and gentlemen, is my moment of freedom..
